She's magical. She was born in 1965. Her scientific name is Aristocrat Mainliner, but her friends call her Kippy.
The Kippy Ding Ding is the brainchild of Amanda Linton and Allison Norris - two young mothers with a taste for all things vintage and a passion for boutiques.
Kippy was part passion project, part experiment. We were really excited about implementing all of our creative ideas across the whole advertising ecosystem - from strategy to content creation to distribution.
First, we rebuilt Kippy from the ground up turning her into a mobile showroom complete with fitting room. Next, we established Kippy's "voice" - the tone, feel and style of the brand that would be used in all forms of communication; from social media down to the tags pinned on items for sale. Then, we did a video and photo shoot - so we would have content to populate on the website, but also to be used in all press releases introducing Kippy to the world.
“Kippy is like cotton candy on a stick. She is adorable and made with love and best of all she is convenient. She delivers cuteness to wherever you may be — like a magical little puffy cloud that rains out pretty dresses and sparkly jewels.”
Kippy's fun, quirky and bubbly voice was carried across social media channels and all promotional material. Fashion influencers, local bloggers and stylists all around quickly followed Kippy's every move on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
Kippy Ding Ding was a press magnet, they loved her. Magazines, blogs, tv - you name it and the Kippy was featured. By the end of year, Seattle Magazine voted Kippy as the hottest new shopping trend.
